More is NOT better

A Range Rover drives into Bay Diagnostic, the issue was with his HSE. There was a coolant leak and a service light.  The repair was not the issue.  The issue was our labor rate - the fact that we are 45% LOWER than the dealer.
The owner of the Range Rover wanted to know what he was NOT getting for the lower rate.  

This is not the first time we have heard this.  Our new Porsche, BMW and 
Mini Cooper customers have also asked about this.

The price you pay at the dealer covers

- The greeter
- The expediter who moves the car
- The service manager
- The parts dept workers
- The auto biller/service writer
- The mechanics and shop foreman
- The parking attendant who delivers your car
- The back office employees who run the dealership
- The outside advertising employees

The price you pay at the Bay Diagnostic covers :

- The manager at the front desk
- The mechanics
- The owner on premises

We use same parts, equipment, tools data and yes, we wash your car too!!


Something to think about...yes.. alot of hands touch your vehicle at the dealer while your car is being serviced.  Their answer is we have a large volume.  The question is Why doesn't this drive the price down like Costco?  

The answer is simple.   It's just a repair to them -- to us it's our reputation.
